The Religion of Assumptions: A Revelation of Surah Al-Kahf 18:102 for the People of the End Times

We often feel that we already know Allah.
We feel that we already know enough about religion.
We feel that we are already believers.

We pray.
We fast.
We read the Qur’an when we have time.
We attend talks when we can.
We have even cried in our supplications.

Then we think that is sufficient.

But Allah asks in Surah Al-Kahf:

“Do you assume, O you who cover the truth?”

That assumption does not come from disbelievers.
It does not come from those who hate religion.
It comes from us,
people who feel we are journeying toward Allah,
yet in reality we are walking with our own heads.

We decide what truth is,

not based on revelation,
but based on what we feel is right.

We choose teachers by the voice we like to hear.
We choose arguments that keep us comfortable.
We choose opinions that fit our lives,
not the opinions that shake us to change.

This is the religion of assumptions.
A religion not built on guidance,
but on presumption,
on self-interpretation,
on the logic of taste and personal experience.

This series is not to blame anyone.
This series invites us to face the mirror
and ask honestly:

All this time,
who have we really been following?

Allah’s revelation,
or our own reasoning?
